Abstract

Economic growth is important in development and needs to be increased through education, road infrastructure, and population. This study aims to analyze the development of road infrastructure and population and the influence of these three on economic growth in East Tanjung Jabung Regency during the period 2007-2022. This study uses quantitative descriptive analysis methods and secondary data from BPS and Jambi Province. This study applies a developmental model and an Error Correction Model (ECM). The results show that road infrastructure has developed with an average development of 9.47 percent and the number of population has experienced an average development of 0.85 percent. In the short term, education, road infrastructure, and population numbers simultaneously affect economic growth, with a partial influence only from the number of population. In the long term, all three also affect simultaneously, but only the number of people has a partial effect on economic growth. For developing countries, the state of rapid population development actually hampers the development of growth. An ever-growing population demands continuous economic development
