Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of promotions and tourist attractions on the interest in visiting Lake Sipin Jambi City. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with primary and secondary data used. The sampling was determined using a simple random sampling technique with a total of 100 respondents. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The results showed that the promotion had a positive regression coefficient value of 0.488 with a tcount value of 7.106 (tcount > ttable = 1.660) and a significance value of 0.000 (P<0.05). This shows that promotion has a positive and significant effect on interest in visiting the tourist attraction of Lake Sibin, Jambi City. The tourist attraction variable has a regression coefficient value of 0.523 with a tcount value of 8.236 (tcount > ttable = 1.660) and a significance value of 0.000 (P<0.05). This shows that tourist attractions have a positive and significant effect on the interest in visiting the tourist attraction of Lake Sipin Jambi City. The value of the determination coefficient (R2) in this study was 0.912 or 91.2%. This means that 91.2% of interest in visiting Lake Sipin tourist attractions in Jambi City is influenced by promotional factors and tourist attractions, while 8.8% is influenced by other factors that are not observed in this study.
